It's definitely something to do with gtk but I'm not sure it's related
to my change. If my change goes wrong, we'd see a regular exit of the
main loop (as I experienced when I was developing the change).

Could you try installing from beta1 and only upgrade ubiquity to 2.9.26?

There was a gtk update recently and I'd like to make sure it's not
what's causing the problem here.
