I am thinking about returning my Asus Eee 1215B to the shop as it seems this is a universal problem for all (?) distros.
Can someone suggest where the actual problem is? Is the BIOS flaky, or is it the kernel? This bug was filed September 2011, and it is really a show stopper for a laptop. I expect nothing from "customer care", so I'd rather search for a proper description of what the real source of the problem is, and use that when I have to contact the consumer council (since the shop obviously will send the laptop to an Asus repair center, who will say there is nothing wrong with the PC, and that Microsoft Windows works just fine, and blah blah). So, any suggestions on what the real source of the problem is, or how we can probe for it? -Martin -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/856711 Title: 11.10 - Suspend fails on Asus 1215B To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/856711/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
