Public bug reported:

given hardware: laptop with connected external screen. nvidia drivers.
lightdm and xfce.

i upgraded. turned off without disconnecting the screen. turned on
again. now without the 2nd screen connected.

lightdm failed with the session chooser button.

my usb mouse just flashes and does not work at all. dmesg shows tons of
usb reset messages.

i can't move the mouse cursor to the right side of the laptop screen. on
the right side there is only random image data visible.

dmesg shows 2 segfaults/general protection errors right after just booting up
the machine:
colord crashed
xfrun4 crashed

doesn't xubuntu xfce use launchpad? launchpad tells me it's not
configured to forward bugs to those developers.

i hope the absolutely latest version does not have that. otherwise i already
reported some issues.
so many things fail..

lightdm
kernel (usb etc.)
nvidia driver (display for dual screen)
xfce
