** Description changed: I have an ods file with an embedded image, size of ods is around 36000 bytes. When I save it as an xlsx file the size increases to nearly 1.5 meg. Opening up the xlsx file in a editor (emacs) I can see numerous copies for the image - 71 copies of it all the identical size - there is only one copy of the image in the original ods. I would expect that the image is not replicated.
