Confirming the issue as we got many reports today at the IRC that the new lightdm was causing issues when doing the login.
I believe the issue is mostly sorted now, and it main cause is related with the way the lightdm-session wrapper is calling gnome-sessions, by not quoting it properly (this will cause the script /etc/X11/Xsession.d/20x11-common_process-args to believe it has one extra argument, and will not set the STARTUP var). ** Changed in: lightdm (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/944736 Title: Fails to load any session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/944736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
