I saw this as well when I was testing from home; but now that I'm testing it from my office I can't reproduce it, nor can I reproduce it from a 3G dongle. My test from home was probably being blocked by my firewall :)
The best I can offer with the errors I see in syslog, is to reboot if you've only just installed the plugin (though that should not be necessary since at least Oneiric), and to verify that you can indeed reach the VPN gateway. If none of this works // everything is verified; then we'll need further information such as packet capture and debug logs from the pptp service, which you can get by following the steps here: http://live.gnome.org/NetworkManager/Debugging (look at the very end of the page for the pptp debugging details). ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/941907 Title: pptp vpn not working in precise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/941907/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
