Installing "Multimedia Codecs" provided by Automatix2. install libraries needed for multimedia SOLVED the problem. Gxine still cannot playback the video BUT TOTEM CAN! No more intermittent log out. BUT compares to Ubuntu, Xubuntu Totem video playback lags a lot. It feels so 'heavy'.
