GPG error: http://archive.ubuntu.com precise Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 40976EAF437D05B5 Ubuntu Archive Automatic Signing Key <ftpmas...@ubuntu.com>"
The problem then persists in Update Manager, Synaptic and apt-get update. Problem is fixed using: # apt-get clean # cd /var/lib/apt # mv lists lists.old # mkdir -p lists/partial # apt-get clean # apt-get update At this point using Update manager or apt-get update generates no errors, the error returns when reloading with Synaptic.
