Public bug reported:

Hi, I'm new on Ubuntu and I would like to install ubuntu 11.10 on my
laptop acer ferrari 1005 model. I already downloaded ubuntu 11.10-
amd64.iso and burned it on DVD. But during installation it crashed. I've
tried many times and tried it from usb stick.

I guess it has some hardware incompatibility or BIOS OEM protection or
something. Actually I don't know about BIOS.

Anyone could help me to install it?

I found post on this address and my laptop specification is same as
below :
