I don't read german, so I'm not exactly sure what the exact issue is regarding failure. Is it simply that wpasupplicant never gets started?
There's just not enough information to tackle this problem as-is. However, NM now (since Oneiric) provides a command-line app that allows one to bring up system-wide configurations that have already been deployed (you can't create a connection from it). So bringing up a wireless connection for troubleshooting can be as easy as this: nmcli con up id "mywireless" I'll tentatively close this as Fix Released since there's a simple way to get online in recovery mode now, with NetworkManager. Please don't hesitate to reopen if you can provide more information to allow us to find a suitable resolution for the releases that don't have nmcli. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/439643 Title: wpa_supplicant fails in recovery mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/439643/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
