Just noticed something in dmesg:

isa0060/serio0).
[ 4472.668000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e071 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4473.732000] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xf0 on 
isa0060/serio0).
[ 4473.732000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e070 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4473.740000] atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xf0 on

That is what happens for the Search (e073), Lock (e071), and Question
(e070) keys respectively after using omke.pl.  Without omke.pl the keys
do not register at all.  Stumbled on this by accident, hope it helps!
