I have now successfully got the RaLink 2.5.0.0 driver (rt3572sta) to load using /sbin/insmod rt3572sta.ko from my build directory the device is now listing in lsmod (rt3572sta) the blue LED turns on and blinks while sending packets device is now also recognised in gnome-network-manager Bit Rate displays at 300 Mb/s
