Public bug reported:

To debug cellwriter with respect to bug #766954, i tried to start
cellwriter with command line options --log-
file=/home/user/cellwriter.log and --log-level=8 (as described in the
cellwriter manpage) to make cellwriter write some logging output to a
logfile. But the logfile stays empty. Cellwriter ignores other command
line options, too, for example --help. Didn't check any other options.
