I am also having a similar problem when connecting to an Ubuntu 7.10 box from another using ssh -X. GLX apps work on the client but when running a glx app from the ssh server I get the following errors: libGL error: open DRM failed (Operation not permitted) libGL error: reverting to (slow) indirect rendering
The is no problem when doing the same using an old SuSE server and the same client.
