same problem here. thinkpad edge e425. It has switchable video cards, and i'm not sure how... i can enable one or another exclusively via the bios, but what i see on lspci is all the same. could not install using the regular CD (why there's no text installer?). i didn't knew about the HDMI out working. but i would rather a text installer anyway. after installing debian-sid i have the following information: fgrlx does not work. vesa works obviously w/out direct rendering. catalyst driver that support that board does not support the newer X available in debian-sid at this time. i will hunt down the versions and update here... now since i will have to compile modules for pretty much all the hardware i have on this box i'm waiting for gentoo to compile some 2Gb of software... :-/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/910332 Title: Kernel wont load proper drivers for AMD A4/Radeon APU.
