I just tried Ubuntu Precise Alpha 2 and looks like this is also the case with 
CDMA modem.
I use ZTE AC2726. It is detected as CD-ROM, and can't be ejected. When I try to 
eject it, either via Disk Utility or terminal, I got the following error:

"eject: unable to eject, last error: Invalid argument"

In my case, using 'udevadm trigger' doesn't work.
