** Description changed: I'm on a Dell 1012 netbook (Atom n450), with kernel 3.2.0-12-generic in Precise. It does a panic and drops to text console mode 53 seconds in to each boot, a little while after the login screen shows up. - EIP: [<c156d307>] __schedule+0x3/0x620 - .... - [ 53.700455] panic occurred, switching back to text console + EIP: [<c156d307>] __schedule+0x3/0x620 + .... + [ 53.700455] panic occurred, switching back to text console For a panic like this, I'm not sure how to provide useful information for you. The kern.log and dmesg files end before the panic sequence shown above. I have attached a picture of rest the final console screen. It happens for every boot the same way, ending at the same 53 second timestamp, and whether I log in or not. Background: I just did an upgrade from Oneiric to Precise. It happened on my first reboot into Precise with a 3.2 kernel. It works to boot into Precise using 3.0.0.16 (left over from Oneiric). The system is up-to-date.
