I have the same problem. On my system I have 3 hard drives, and the device icons for these do not work as they did in 3.5.6. However, I have found it possible using kwikdisk, and setting up new desktop icons via Create New>Link to Device, to re-establish them plus their 'off- on'functionality. Using the 'atime' flag in /etc/fstab against these drives is also important.
But this is very much a work-around. At boot, the icons do not appear until I use Kwidisk to mount or dismount them. -- No hdd icons on KDesktop (KDE 3.5.7) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
