Public bug reported:

A bug in the in-kernel opensource "stex" driver for the promise SuperTak
Series (EX8350 / 16350 ...) crashes the kernel sporadically. (Can be
triggered by heavy IO-load on the raid.)

See details here:
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7842
and
http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/1/23/268

The Bug is known and a workaround patch available. Affected are all
current kernels (2.6.19 - 2.6.21) as Ubuntu 7.04.

Its not an ubuntu bug, but notice that feisty can not run with promise
supertak hardware-raids.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
