I have the same problem.
After resuming from hibernate the fan works although the cpu is 95% iddle. 
After a few minutes the processes kacpid-work-0, kacpid-work-1 and 
kacpid-work-2 start eating 100% CPU. There's no way to kill them, not even with 
a kill -9 (I thought the kill signal could not be trapped but it's not working 
here). 
I reniced them to 19 to be able to use the laptop and after a few minutes 
everything got back to normal.

I'm using an up to date Dapper on a HP Compaq nc6120.
