I tried adding "irqpoll" and it doesn't boot. At the first screen I pressed "F6" and added "irqpoll" to the options. I then let it boot and I get the "Ubuntu" splash screen with the progress bar. The rer bar moves back and forth in the progress bar for a few second then the machine freezes.
