The bug continues. This is affecting many more people than, perhaps, the
devs realize. I just installed Xubuntu 11.10 on my wife's computer (not
a week ago) and she just called me from work, unable to use her computer
and me unable to help her because even if she calls up ALT+F2 or a
terminal, she can't type or paste into them. I just installed Xubuntu
11.10 on a young woman's computer as she headed off to Egypt for the
next year. I strongly and viscerally regret installing Xubuntu. The
importance of this bug deserves to be much higher than "medium". It
effectively renders the DE useless and I'm surprised that 11.10 was
released without a fix. Is it possible to fix this bug in prior versions
with an update?
