I ran an update but the problem persists. My keyboard is Swedish and the language is English in Ubuntu 64bit 11.10 connecting to Windows7 Professional.
When I press (ignore the double quotes below) "+" produces "`" "?" produces "_" "ö" produces "öo" "-" produces "+" "_" produces "?" I hope this helps in fixing this bug. Since, this works for you, kindly let me know if there is any setting that I need to tweak on Ubuntu or the Windows machine.
