If I shutdown as root the other active user acounts should not bother in
anyway. However I did tested logging out and shutting down the computer
only as root. Did not make any difference. The problem is still there.

I have notice also that sometimes when I run "sudo shutdown 0" or "sudo
shutdown -P 0" the computer first tries to start sendmail program and
then makes a reboot. That is even more annoying than just freezing. :)
