I have the same problem I guess, boot first takes a long time to load all usb things, then it hangs when configuring the network.
If I insert the stick after boot it is detected: [ 143.634062] usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2 [ 143.856915] usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 144.153359] pegasus: v0.6.14 (2006/09/27), Pegasus/Pegasus II USB Ethernet driver but in my case lsusb just hangs indefinitely (as does lshw). My desktop and laptop show the same behavior. The model of my stick is: Belkin USB Adapter F8T012xx Linux blackice 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 07:36:31 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux -- Wont boot livecd with USB bluetooth attached. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/79344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
