if every change landing in the new cycle was backported then stable
would be a copy of unstable, what would be the point to have stable
versions?
that said:
- this fix only landed in precise, usually fixes need to be tested and
confirmed to be working before being backported
- the fix depends on a new gtk api and other changes, it's non trivial to
backport
- you or anyone else is welcome to help and backport extra fixes, the current
team has limited resources and do what it can
