I installed it this morning, and added intel_iommu=off as suggested in the Phoronix post:
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTAzNzk It looked like it worked, as my system ran for about 15 minutes without panicking, but as soon as I inserted a usb wireless device it crashed almost immediately. On a subsequent restart, the system panicked within a couple of minutes of loading the desktop. Changed to confirmed again. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905606 Title: Kernel panic on Atom 270 * Intel 945 chipset To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/905606/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
