I used yesterday's (11 Jan 2012) Precise AMD64 Lubuntu ISO image to boot
from a CD on an Acer 5732z, which has the same graphics controller as
the OP's computer [Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 09)]. After I choose the first option in the
initial menu ("Try Lubuntu without any change"), the screen goes dark
and I have to use the setpci method to turn the backlight on after I'm
in LXDE. The output of uname -a is: Linux lubuntu 3.2.0-8-generic
