I have gnome-sound-recorder 2.91.2 installed! (Version obtained from the "About" Dialog Box) Yet when I select File -> Open Volume Control I get "gnome-volume-control is not installed in the path."
I checked the installed gnome-media and I got: $ sudo dpkg-query --show gnome-media gnome-media 2.91.2-2ubuntu2 I guess that is why I am not getting the fix yet!! Although this is not really a critical issue, but how can I force install the latest gnome-media package in my Oneiric 64? How long does it usually take from the time a bug is fixed till it becomes available for users?
