You can easily compile the package yourself: From http://merges.ubuntu.com/g/grub/ get grub_0.97.orig.tar.gz and grub_0.97-20.diff.gz and grub_0.97-20.dsc sudo apt-get build-dep grub dpkg-source -x grub_0.97-20.dsc cd grub-0.97 debuild -b -us -uc
I have looked at the cmdline contents, it's certainly not data or code, I would have guessed some graphics. It doesn't seem like random bit patterns, so it could maybe provide a hint for someone. Did you find anything on the web with regards to similar problems? I googled, but didn't find anything. ** Changed in: grub (Ubuntu) Status: Needs Info => Confirmed -- "ALERT! does not exist" at boot with ICH7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106887 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
