I'm testing cinnamon and cinnamon-session with Linux Mint, and there is the same effect: After I clicked on a window to activate it, the desktop did not respond and respawned some seconds later. I had this with gnome- shell (as posted earlier). So this probably isn't a bug in gnome-shell? Or, as cinamonn is based on gnome-shell, it has the same error...?
