Tried these things. Neither worked: A.) Tried replacing the whole /usr/share/alsa/cards directory with the Ubuntu 10.10 /usr/share/alsa/cards directory. No change.
B.) Tried replacing the ENTIRE /usr/share/alsa directory with the Fedora 16 /usr/share/alsa directory. No change.
