I've installed the rc6 kernel from the mainline build, I'll try it
today. I haven't' been able to get the header packages to install from
that repo though.

I get the following:

$ sudo dpkg -i
linux-headers-3.2.0-030200rc6-generic_3.2.0-030200rc6.201112162235_amd64.deb

One other thing: could the problems I've been having with these kernels be
responsible for SDL and openGL not working on my computers? I've been doing
some development, and over the last few days all I get is an unresponsive black
screen when I try to run programs that worked last week.
