I want to confirm this bug. I'm running Xubuntu 11.10 on an Asus eeePC 900A. I wanted to conserve battery power, so I used the Network Manager Applet to turn off the wireless. That worked.
But, when I tried to re-enable the wireless, I found that the option was no longer displayed in the Network Manager Applet menu. My NM doesn't simply gray-out the "wireless" option. It actually isn't there anymore. PS: I now have no idea how to re-enable wireless on this netbook. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/851023 Title: "Enable Wireless" in Network Manager Applet grayed out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/851023/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
