Yeah sorry about the Java comment, I thought for some reason that
LibreOffice was written in Java. Ignore that.

Doing the atomic rename as Michael suggests is a good middle-ground
between robustness and performance. ext4 in recent builds supposedly
adds an fsync to that if it is missing.
