Public bug reported: These two log files recently grew to over 1 Gb each. I only noticed when I booted up and X failed to start, giving a warming about not being able to write to /tmp. I later discovered that this error was due to lack of partition space and that /var/log had become bloated. I deleted syslog.0 and kern.log.0 and all is well. This bug may be related to Bug #71870.
