First of all, when I installed ubuntu 11.10 I used amd64 distro (since the installation instructions said that there is are no installation differences between intel and amd) and the HW is intel. Should I keep the amd64 vs i386 kernels? If not (if I should change from amd64 to i386) how should I go about the migration that would include module reconfiguration? On the second look, 32-bit version (i386) versus 64-bit (amd) should not matter...
The above said, I was not able to fully install i386 kernel modules, but I succeeded installing amd64 kernel modules. kernel 3.2 cr4 did not fix the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/900417 Title: fn+f3 does not disable touchpad (Ubuntu 11.10 install on a laptop Dell Ispiron 17R) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/900417/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
