Public bug reported:

Recently when the kernel switched over to 3.0 my computer started
hanging on boot unless I added acpi=off. I finally figured out that the
TEAC Corp. All-In-One Multi-Card Reader CA200/B/S is causing the
trouble. With the reader plugged in I cannot boot unless I disable
acpi. With the reader disabled I can boot as usual.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
