Yesterday, I got tired of this bug, and decided to reset my profile to try to get rid of it. I deleted (well, renamed, anyway) my ~/.config directory, and logged out, then back in. Sure enough, I had a default profile, with a nice, non-truncated dashboard. I was pleased. So, I customized my profile back to how I like it, and checked the dashboard again. It was messed up as before.
