** Description changed: [Impact] config-package-dev 4.13 in precise fixes three issues found while testing config-package-dev 4.12 on oneiric: • Because of an incompatible Perl 5.12 change that broke the ‘encode’ script, all config packages built with config-package-dev now conflict with each other. • DEB_CHECK_FILES and DEB_TRANSFORM_FILES cannot find dpkg’s md5sums for files in Multi-Arch: same packages. • dpkg and dpkg-divert may write localized output on non-English locales, which breaks parsing. [Development Fix] config-package-dev 4.13 has been in precise for 3 weeks. It has also been tested on all Ubuntu releases as part of Debathena <http://debathena.mit.edu/>. [Stable Fix] These fixes are the only changes between config-package-dev 4.12 and 4.13, so this qualifies as an upstream microrelease. (Upstream Git repository: http://andersk.mit.edu/gitweb/config-package-dev.git ) [Test Case] Build any package that uses config-package-dev diversions, such as debathena-quota-config: http://debathena.mit.edu/apt/pool/debathena-config/d/debathena-quota-config/debathena-quota-config_1.4.dsc and note that the resulting binary has ‘Conflicts: diverts-’ instead of ‘Conflicts: diverts-usr++bin++quota’ (hence any two such packages will conflict with each other). [Regression Potential] - Because this has been well tested already, regressions are unlikely. config-package-dev is a development package and not user-facing, so any regressions will be low-severity. + Because this has been well tested already, regressions are unlikely. config-package-dev is a development package and not user-facing, and it currently has no reverse-build-dependencies in the archive, so any regressions will be low-severity.
