I've tested with 3.2.0rc4. It still freezes, but not the same way. It freezes
"more slowly" (reproduced 3 times).
At first, I can move the mouse, but the clicks and the keystrokes fail.
Some background applications still operate (I could see a blinking cursor on a
gnome-terminal), but there is no way to interact with them.

However I can switch to the text mode consoles (Alt+Ctrl+F1 or F2...).
Sometimes I can type in, but I does not last long (just the time to type
my login, no chance to type the password - If I ever get the password
prompt).

At this point, I could use SysRq. You find 3 files attached.
I noticed that both Cpu stacks are at: cpuidle_idle_call+0xab/0x1d0

Before that, I noticed that (may its normal):
When I put the laptop on battery
[ 116.498481] Monitor-Mwait will be used to enter C-3 state
[ 116.861874] EXT4-fs (sda3): re-mounted. Opts: errors=remount-ro,commit=600
[ 116.866674] EXT4-fs (sda6): re-mounted. Opts: commit=600

I've let the laptop alone for a few seconds and I got that.
[ 151.580090] CE: hpet increased min_delta_ns to 20113 nsec
