Public bug reported: If the LibreOffice quickstarter is enabled in Ubuntu 11.10, my computers will occasionally (depending on the computer from 70 to 99% of the time) hang on shutdown at the final screen with the five dots and the ubuntu logo. The dots stop blinking, but the system will not power down and the screen remains active. The system does report 'System halted', while in fact it hasn't. If the quickstarter is disabled, this problem does not occur. I have been able to reproduce this problem on the 4 machines in my home, which all had the quickstarter enabled in order to get LibreOffice to start faster.
I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and LibreOffice 3.4.4 (but I believe my problems already existed in a previous versions of both Ubuntu and LibreOffice), both are in Dutch on all machines (I don't know how that would make a difference, but still). ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899157 Title: LibreOffice Quickstarter causes shutdown problems in Ubuntu 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/899157/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
