Hi Paul Thanks for providing a debdiff to resolve this issue.
As this bug has a simple workaround and some people may have an all-in- one installation of rsyslog and mysql (which could cause confusion as demoting mysql-server from Recommends to Suggests would make it eligible for removal) I think that this fix should not go be applied as an SRU for lucid. Marking the tasks for Lucid and Maverick as 'Won't fix' accordingly. ** Changed in: rsyslog (Ubuntu Lucid) Status: Confirmed => Won't Fix ** Changed in: rsyslog (Ubuntu Maverick) Status: Confirmed => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/659439 Title: Installing rsyslog-mysql on 10.04 installs mysql-server by default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rsyslog/+bug/659439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
