Greg, does it happen all the time? how long have you been facing this
issue.? trying to reproduce this bug here is what I tried
1. connected an external display to my netbook
2. started empathy and moved it to the right screen
3. navigated through empathy menus
I was not able to reproduce the problem, What I suspsect is it could
have happened that you restarted unity from terminal, or unity might
have crashed and restarted it self. Does any of that happen?
