(I'm sorry, I can't think of a good, succinct title for this bug, it is
hard to summarize, so here is the issue.)
1) Open any program in 11.10
2) Mouse to the top bar to make the menu appear
3) Click on File or Edit or whatever
4) See, briefly, the contents of the correct dropdown
5) Move your mouse down to select an option
6) Observe that the dropdown is now replaced with one from the right hand side
of the top bar (eg: MeMenu, timedate, etc)
7) Repeatedly try to get it to display the right menu when you move the mouse
down
8) Get frustrated because you can't use your program anymore
9) Get it to work once every 10 or so tries.
