The reader will notice that the two PDF files have a different rendering. This is because, even though both systems have font files offering all four (4) faces of URW Palladio L, LibreOffice 3.4.4 only offers three (3) faces, omitting the Roman face. Loading the test file in to versions 3.3.4 and 3.4.4 should demonstrate the behaviour described.
