I decided to give the Ubuntu 7.04 Live CD a try, just in case the problem would not show there. It's theeeeere. I have a dual boot system with Dapper and the bug is not present threre, as it is not also present on Dapper Live CD. I don't have Edgy, so I can't test it to check where the bug first appeared. Anyway this bug is a regggggggression.
Not everyone must be having this bug, else it would have been reported / fixed long ago. So, I propose we post here our system configuration and try to see on what hardware the bug appears. Finding commoooooooooon characteristics could help find the source of this bug, I can't believe it would happen randomly.
