I have a CIFS share auto-mounted in fstab. I had the shutdown failure problem on 11.04 and found dismounting the CIFS share before shutting down did fix it.
On 11.10 I found that dismounting the share doesn't solve it. The only way I have been able to solve is by uninstalling the network-manager. I am using wired ethernet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/882817 Title: shutdown screen stuck after upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/882817/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
