i am not sure what you are talking about.
i am saying that when i log in i can not access any of the programs
installed on my computer from the unity panel.  i can only start up
programs via a terminal.
if this is not a bug then what is it?  if i wait about 5 minutes not
touching unity then it works, but i do not think it should function that
way.
