Public bug reported: I am using Feisty Fawn 2.6.20-15-generic. I have a dell M65 precision work station. My wirless worked fine at school but when I came home it would not work. I have a D-Link DI-524 wireless router. The network manager will not allow me to connect to my home network. It just gives the two computers with an orange triangle. If I manuallly get an IP with "sudo dhclient eth1", my internet will work fine but the network manager icon in the task bar still does not work. After that if I tell it to connect to my network, it does the same thing and the internet does not work again but i can use that code again and it works. According to someone on the forums " NetworkManager (the icon in the panel) seems to associate but can't do DHCP, but manually getting a DHCP lease works." So mostly the problem is getting the network manager to work correctly. My Ethernet Controller is: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5752 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express (rev 02). My network controller is: Broadcom Corporation Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-PCI card (rev 01).
